Avia Invest categorically denies the alleged terrorist risk in Chisinau International Airport as a result of breaches in the security system!

Today, June 21, 2017, the news about the declarations of the Moldovan Customs Service on the alleged terrorist risk in Chisinau International Airport as a result of breaks in the security system was distributed throughout media.
Thus,‘Avia Investĺ clarifies the following:

Ensuring a high level of comfort and passenger safety is one of the core priorities of the airport's managing company.
‘Avia Invest’ has invested in enhancing aeronautical security by procuring new and modern security equipment produced by world leaders in providing innovative aviation equipment and developing new security solutions in the world's largest airports. In addition, the passenger security checkpoints were doubled. Thus, the most effective solutions have been implemented to ensure a high level of passenger safety.

The declarations of the Civil Aviation Authority, the single public certification, supervision and control body in the field of aviation security in the Republic of Moldova, the activity of which is monitored by the International Civil Aviation Organization, are also eloquent.

According to CAA ‘The conformation of the state of the Republic of Moldova in general, and of Chisinau International Airport in particular to the international norms in the area, is regularly confirmed by an external audit carried out by the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Thus, according to the most recent audit of ECAC /ICAO, which took place in September 2016, no such breaches were detected, but they found to be in compliance with the international standards imposed by the Republic of Moldova as a member state of ECAC and ICAO’.

Therefore, we would like to point out that irresponsible and incompetent exposures with regard to aeronautical security are inadmissible. They mislead the public opinion and denigrate both the image of Chisinau International Airport and of the Republic of Moldova at international level.
