Chisinau Airport passenger traffic volumes totaled 937030 based on results of year 2010 which is 15.81% more compared to the previous year. In the year 2010, total aircraft movements were 13751, an increase of 11.29 per cent over the 2009 year.

At the moment, due to the increasing tendency of the passenger flow, airport experiences lack of car stands in peak hours. At the same time according to preliminary estimations of the German company HOCHTIEF AirPort GmbH, passenger flow will grow considerably in the next 20 years up to 3 mln passengers. Basing on the opinion of internal and external specialists, in 2015 Chisinau International Airport will need 706 parking stands, which is 4-fold more than today.

Therefore it was made the decision to build a multi-level Car Park near the Terminal.
